A man believed to have taken part in a store robbery in The Woodlands was caught by sheriff's deputies after leading them on a long chase down to north Houston.
It started when an off-duty Montgomery County Sheriff's office deputy allegedly witnessed a crime at a boutique.
The man suspected in the robbery was seen in his rented Home Depot truck along the I-45 north feeder at Sawdust Rd., but when deputies were unable to get him to pull over, he sped off so the deputies gave chase.
Along the chase, the suspect hit two vehicles, causing minor damage, deputies said Saturday.
The chase ended when the suspect his several vehicles and a Metro bus near 45 at Yale St.
One child and three adults were injured in the accident, but all are said to be okay after being taken to hospitals, according to deputies.
The suspect jumped from his truck after the accident and ran, but was quickly caught by officers, taken to a hospital and then ended the day in the Montgomery County jail.
He may be charged with robbery and evading arrest.
