Bond has been set at more than $1 million dollars for a man who's been on the run all week after being accused last Sunday of shooting two teenagers in Northwest Houston, who are now recovering.
Police investigators said last week that 32-year-old Willie Simpson III had a relationship with the mother of the two teenagers, and there was an argument of some kind on the phone, after which Simpson allegedly came to the apartment complex where they woman and two teens live.
After arriving at the Town Lake complex at 5730 Timber Creek Place near Highway 6 at Little York, witnesses said he shot at the 12-year-old and 19-year-old as he tried to chase them into their apartment.
The two were injured but managed to get away from Simpson by jumping off a second story balcony.
Court records show Simpson then drove off, after which Houston police arrived and arranged for EMS to take the teenagers to a hospital.
Simpson was then charged with three counts of aggravated assault of a family member, unlawful possession of a firearm and burglary with intent to commit murder, which carry bonds of $350,000 for reach charge.
Authorities searched for Simpson all week and found him Friday, arrested him and he's likely going to stay in jail a while, should his bond remain at $1 million.
