Residents in a West Houston neighborhood are hearing of shootings and wondering: Why us?
In what appears to be a shooting spree, 6 homes in the Mission Bend - Alief area near Highway 6 South at the Westpark Tollway have been shot at.
In at least one case, security camera footage seems to show one person walking up to a house and pumping shot after shot into walls and windows, but the people inside don't know who the shooters are or why they're shooting.
The Harris County Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation into these shootings, and they say they're still gathering information to find more suspects
In an area not far away, a woman was hit and killed by several vehicles along Highway 6 South near Beechnut on Thursday night.
The woman is said by deputies to have been walking in the street when she was struck and killed.
Deputies have been talking to witnesses, who've described one or two of the vehicles that struck the woman.
No arrests have been made in this case yet.
