New polling from Fox News shows that around 60% of Republicans support Israel's actions against Iran, but only 35% of independents say the same thing. For Democrats, the number is even lower, coming in at just 32%.
So why do people on the left have such a big problem with Israel striking Iran's nuclear facilities and top military leaders? Turns out, there are two main reasons. According to Jake Novak, host of American Sunrise Early Edition on Real America's Voice, it boils down to politics and money.
On the political front, Novak explained that, "They see Iran as being opponents of Trump, and opponents of the right wing in America, and so they're in favor of Iran. It's as sickening and as simple as that."
He then explains that the money that funds the Democratic Party, Democratic campaigns, and any number of left-wingactivist movements, could also be a factor. He said, "We know now more and more that these foreign entities themselves are actively funding political movements, and sometimes campaigns, here in the United States."
That would explain the somewhat ongoing trend that we've seen on the left of regularly siding with nations and ideologies that are openly oppositional to both the United States and our founding principles.
Novak went as far as to call for action to be taken in response to this, saying, "The Justice Department, they're gonna have to start looking more into who's been funding these protests. And we've already a decent amount of evidence showing that there is a financial trail here, so this isn't just all organic partisanship and family squabbles."
There is some good news here though. Novak pointed to the fact that Israel has been able to engage with Iran, and see major military success quickly, without dragging the United States into direct conflict, and says as that trend continues, and more Americans realize that Israel being at war with Iran doesn't necessarily mean the U.S. will have to be at war with Iran as well, support for their efforts will grow.
