According to a new report, the decision not to prosecute Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was made by the Justice Department in the final weeks of the Biden Administration.

The report from the Associated Press says that the decision was made by a senior career official who had concerns about prosecutors' ability to secure a conviction in an abuse of power case.

The AG reacted on social media by re-posting something that Senator John Cornyn out on X a year ago, when Cornyn wrote, "Hard to run from prison, Ken."

On X, Paxton wrote, This former TX Supreme Court Justice and TX Attorney General ignored the rule of law, the Constitution, and innocent until proven guilty while standing with the corrupt Biden DOJ cheering on the bogus witch hunts against both me and President Trump. Care to comment now, John?"
