A man running from a Harris County Sheriff's deputy was injured by a car on Houston's east side Friday night.
He had just robbed a woman outside a nearby bank near I-10 the East Freeway near Uvale at about 9 pm, when a Harris County Sheriff's deputy drove up.
The incident report says the man did not fire any shots even though he held up the woman at gunpoint, but he attempted to run from the officer.
He was trying to cross the main lanes of I-10 when he was struck by a vehicle.
The woman is said to have been frightened but is okay, while the alleged robbery suspect was said to have been alive when he was taken by EMS to a hospital, but there's been no update on his condition.
