As the city of Houston deals with a massive budget deficit, the show goes on at the taxpayer supported Montrose Center. On Monday, the LGBT center will host a drag show to celebrate the 'transgender day of visibility'. The show will be open to everyone, including children.
"Totally ridiculous that we're allowing your tax dollars to allow grown men to show their junk to little kids" said state representative, Steve Toth.
But that is exactly what is happening. That's because after Texas passed a law in 2023 banning these drag shows in front of kids, the radical left found a judge that would temporarily block it.
"The bill doesn't even really address the issue of a man putting on women's clothing or wearing a wig, that's not the legislation calls for" Toth told KTRH, "What is clearly states is that you cannot show your private parts to little children. And yet that's all too often what goes on in these shows."
We reached out to the Montrose Center for comment, and asked if there were any concerns that the show might be inappropriate for children. They replied quote, "No, we have no concerns."
In the meantime, the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals is currently considering an appeal from Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton.
