President Donald Trump has successfully fought Big Tech censorship since retaking office, with tech leaders like Amazon's Jeff Bezos, Apple's Tim Cook, and Meta's Mark Zuckerberg now embracing Trump and ending many of their woke policies. But some old habits die hard, and a closer look at these tech platforms reveals censorship and bias are still taking place. The Federalist reports Amazon's artificial intelligence was recently caught refusing to give a summary of a conservative book about education, saying the book contains "biased or extreme political rhetoric against marginalized groups."
Amazon's response to this was similar to most Big Tech responses when caught censoring conservatives. They blamed it on an "error" and quickly fixed it. An Amazon spokesman said the AI response was caused by an "experimental feature," but did not elaborate further. Anthony Russo, political analyst and host, tells KTRH the AI program didn't learn this on its own. "There's still a lot of leftists that work in positions of power at these (tech) companies, and clearly they have an agenda or are being paid to fulfill a specific agenda," he says. "So when little 'mistakes' like this happen, there should be some kind of investigation into why it happened, and why it keeps happening."
For conservatives, it keeps happening way too often. "Amazon has admitted they've done this in the past," says Russo. "So it does play into the fact that we're in the process of being indoctrinated by these platforms...we're being indoctrinated to believe something that the AI, or that leftist-programmed AI, wants us to believe."
