A shootout on Houston's West side Sunday morning has left one person dead.
Just before noon, witnesses at the gas station on Briar Forest at Wilcrest say it looked like there were two people in two vehicles and they got caught up in an argument, Houston police said Sunday afternoon.
The disagreement escalated and there were suddenly gunshots, witnesses turning their heads to the vehicles to see one victim fatally shot and another victim driving away.
The injured driver managed to steer his car south to a major thoroughfare, Westheimer, where Emergency Medical Services were called to take him to a hospital.
Back at the gas station, the other driver was pronounced dead a short time later.
One witness said there was a third person involved, but no details are available.
Now it's up to police to sort out the events that led up to the killing.
