Legendary rock band Journey had to cancel the rest of their Houston Rodeo performance mid-concert Friday night due to an electrical fire.
Videos taken inside NRG Stadium showed the band was in the middle of playing "Don't Stop Believin,'" the fifth song on their setlist, when the speakers cut out. The band left the stage mid-song and several people were seen holding fire extinguishers and inspecting around where the drums were positioned.
An announcer inside the stadium told fans that the concert had been cancelled because of an electrical fire. After the show, Rodeo Houston confirmed the news to their Facebook page, announcing the cancelation was due to an “unforeseen electrical incident under the stage area.”
Thankfully, there have been no reports of injuries.
Rodeo Houston released another announcement Saturday morning saying all the events scheduled for Saturday are on as planned and there will be a performance on the stage by country singer Warren Zeiders.
