The bill to ban transgender men from playing in women's sports, called the "Protect Women and Girls in Sports Act," has failed to advance out of the Senate.
That is after Democrats went full Democrats on Monday night and voted to stop the bill. The vote was 51-45, but it needed 60 votes to break a filibuster.
That means seven Democrats had to vote with Republicans on the bill. Zero did.
Two Democrats were absent from the vote.
