Police Identify Suspect In Friday Pasadena Shooting

Pasadena police have identified a suspect in a weekend shooting that injured two students from Pasadena Memorial High School.

That suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

A fight broke out after school Friday afternoon in a parking lot, 4400 Crenshaw Rd., across a street from the school.

Pasadena police said one student had been shot in the chest, another in the left arm. One of them was airlifted to a hospital. As of Monday, one was in stable condition, the other was treated and released from a Pasadena hospital.

On Monday, police identified the shooter as 19-year-old Damian Alexander Saiz, who was not a student.

He was involved in a fight that led to his pulling a gun and shooting the two high school students.

He was identified in a video taken by a witness to the shooting.

Pasadena Police Department and Pasadena ISD police are investigating.

Crisis counselors will be available at Pasadena Memorial High School and additional security will be on campus next week.
