A man in black is the subject of a search by law officers in the Houston area, after he allegedly shot five people overnight on the near south side.
There was a fight of some kind less than half an hour before the shooting, and Houston police say it's not clear whether the shooter was involved in the altercation at the bar along Raleigh St., not far from the intersection of Highway 288 and Old Spanish Trail.
But just as closing time arrived, the man in black stood in the doorway and started firing his gun.
Witnesses told police it looked like the man was shooting randomly, with no certain victim in mind.
The five gunshot victims were three men and two women, all of whom are in hospitals, two of whom are reported to be in critical condition.
Houston Police Department investigators called Emergency Medical Services when they arrived at the scene of the incident after giving first aid to the victims.
Witnesses said the shooter appeared to be wearing black clothing, and now police and deputies are looking for him.
