Harris County Sheriff's Department investigators continue to search for evidence in an overnight killing in the Channelview area, after which a man was seen driving off in a pickup.
Detectives said Sunday afternoon they were called to a home about 12:20 am in the 700 block of Harding Street, where they found the body of a man who had apparently been shot and killed a short time earlier.
The man, believed to be in his 40s, was found lying in a bedroom.
Deputies said it appears that man had also been robbed and so had another woman at the scene of the crime.
Witnesses said they saw the shooter driving off in truck not long after the murder.
The shooter is now being sought by Harris County-area law enforcement.
