American pride used to be common among both natural-born Americans and immigrants to the country. Today, it's far more scarce. But why is that? It didn't happen by accident. It's the result of years of indoctrination.
Former Reagan White House official and political commentator Jeffrey Lord said, "This all goes back to the education system, and the control that the American left has over education." He says they've used it to push anti-American ideologies and narratives at all levels for years.
He went on to say that this villainization of the United States frankly is not in line with reality, but leftists have pushed it anyway because, according to him, "They want to live in a dictatorship." He says they want a system that mirrors Cuba or the old Soviet Union, and that's a problem that we're paying for now, and we'll continue to pay for later down the road.
It's not all doom and gloom, however, according to Lord; the tide is turning, and more and more people are rejecting this anti-American ideology. The bad news is, it's going to take a while to really weed out this ideology from our schools and colleges.
