DEI Has Been Banned On Texas Campuses, But CRT Is Still Going At Texas Tech

Just when you thought Critical Race Theory (CRT) was out of Texas colleges and universities? It's back!

It's happening at Texas Tech, with a course titled “Diversity and Cultural Competence in the Workplace”, part of the schools curriculum to assist those students who are pursuing a B.A. degree in human resources.

"They really, really stress the implementation of Critical Race Theory intersectionality into work environments" said Luca Cacciatore, journalist at Texas Scorecard. It's all part of the radical left agenda to embrace CRT.

But what about the law?

"Because the law currently doesn't cover curriculum" Cacciatore told KTRH. In the last legislative session, SB 17 was signed into law, banning all DEI initiatives on Texas college campuses.

"They are following the law, the law simply does not cover course curricula" noted Cacciatore, "It covers DEI offices, they're hiring practices, and who actually gets in to the universities. But once you get in, they can teach you all of this stuff."

It's a loophole that state senator, Brandon Creighton hopes to close during this current legislative session.

We did reach out to Texas Tech, and the dean of Communication Studies and University Studies, Dr. Patrick Hughes, but we did not receive a response.
