President Donald Trump is receiving a lot of praise, after announce his new $500 billion dollar Stargate project that is not only going to increase the use of AI here in the U.S., it's also going to be a major boost for Texas, and the Texas economy.
"The money is going to come here to Texas to build these next generation technologies, said David Dunmoyer, campaign director for 'Better Tech For Tomorrow' at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.
During president Trump's announcement, Larry Ellison of Oracle who moved his company from California to Texas, said they already have 10 data centers under construction for this project.
The real issue is going to be, making sure there's enough energy and power, for the centers to operate.
"These data centers are going to create jobs, and it's going to create innovation" Dunmoyer told KTRH, "But only if we have the energy to do so. We just had a snow storm, thankfully the grid upheld that, but the legislature will want to focus on new energy to meet this new investment coming here."
The first data center built for the new initiative will be in Texas.
