Manhunt Continues After 2 Teens Gunned Down At Houston Weekend Pop-Up Party

Houston police investigators are still looking for suspects and answers, asking anyone with knowledge about a party on Jensen Drive Saturday night to come forward with information, after two teenagers have died and several more were injured when gunshots rang out.

The pop-up party appears to have gotten started among social media friends but ended in tragedy about 11 pm Saturday with someone or some people shooting bullets into the crowd gathered at an empty building in the 10,100 block of Jensen (Jensen near Parker Rd.).

Pop-ups are usually last-minute parties thrown in unexpected or unusual places for a limited time, but this one was attended by a number of teenagers, at least five of whom were shot by the unknown gunmen.

Several questions have been raised, with no real answers. Who owns the building and who leased to the group hosting the pop up party? Are their laws against this? If not I bet we’ll hear someone propose one? What about lawsuits? Where are the parents of these teens in all this? Don’t they share some blame?

Police say they have no motive for the shooting and no suspects in mind just yet, but they have been talking with witnesses and have a description of the shooter.

Still, investigators are calling on anyone with information about the party -- especially details about why the shooters showed up and started firing -- to contact Houston Police, or contact Crime Stoppers by calling (713) 222-TIPS. There is currently a $5,000 reward for any information.
