Businesses, both big and small, have struggled under the Biden economy, but now Texans are looking forward to an economic boom during Trump's second term. Texas energy companies are especially optimistic about the next four years.

Glenn Hamer, President and CEO of the Texas Association of Business, told KTRH, "The Trump administration is very clear that it's going to support a very aggressive domestic energy plan." He thinks that means everything from natural gas to nuclear energy will see massive gains over the next four years.

But it's not just big energy companies that will benefit under Trump; Hamer says small businesses and agriculture are going to have an easier time of it too. He said, "I feel very good about the agricultural sector, the small business sector. I mean, look, we have a business guy that's returning to the White House."

Hamer points out that certain parts of the economy have already begun preemptively reacting to the Trump economy. He pointed to the stock market, which he says has "moved up very rapidly, setting all sorts of records." He added that this makes it clear that the job creators are very happy.

Hamer highlighted both the massive deregulation in the economy and the almost guaranteed extension of the 2017 tax cuts as two of the main reasons for that happiness.
