More Heavy Hitters Coming to Team Trump 2.0

President-elect Trump is adding more names to be part of his administration.

Trump is choosing Pete Hegseth for the role of defense secretary in the next administration. Hegseth is a Fox News host and military veteran who served as an infantry captain in the Army National Guard. in a statement Trump said that Hegseth is "tough, smart and a true believer in America First."

Trump also named former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee as the US Ambassador to Israel. Huckabee says he is ready for the challenge. Reports also surfaced Tuesday that he will pick South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem as his leader of Homeland Security.

President-elect Trump says billionaire Elon Musk and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will head the new Department of Government Efficiency. Trump claims the two will pave the way for the administration to dismantle government bureaucracy and restructure federal agencies. The new department will only be temporary. Trump says their work will be finished by July 2026.
