It is the day before Election Day, and it's fair to say that the Democrats are getting desperate. Both nationally, and locally here in Harris County.
Here in Houston, local Democrats have asked the Biden-Harris weaponized DOJ to monitor tomorrow's election. But on Friday, Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson said that federal monitors would -not-be allowed because it's against state law. Nelson's office also confirmed to KTRH, that there will be Texas officials monitoring the election.
The big problem with the local Democrats crying foul is, they forgot that a Democrat (Tanisha Hudspeth) is in charge of the election!
Earlier today, the Harris County GOP held a press conference to give their response.
"Having Democrat elected officials call and say we need to stop voter suppression and votes being stolen. By whom?" asked state senator, Paul Bettencourt, "Is Tanisha Hudspeth going to steal votes? She's in charge of the elections, Republicans aren't. It's hypocrisy."
Precinct 3 Commissioner, Tom Ramsey was also on hand.
"My encouragement to the Fed's is, stay in your lane. You got the letter from the Secretary of State. Read it."
And Harris County GOP Chair, Cindy Siegel, who will join Houston's Morning News tomorrow at 6:20am, weighed in and added, "We're following the law, and we know how badly 2022 was run. Don't fall for a ploy that's just a way to get you scared to think that the bad Republicans are trying to suppress my vote. Because if we saw anything in 2022, I felt like our Republican vote was being suppressed."
