The Democrats have been working tirelessly during this election cycle to rebrand Kamala Harris as anything other than a radical leftist, and it hasn't worked yet. The fact that she is part of the current administration is a big part of the problem.

Political strategist Nick Lindquist told KTRH, "She has to say that she's going to be a force for change, without saying what's wrong right now. That's why she refers to Trump all the time, instead of addressing what's going on now."

Lindquist also pointed out that it's difficult for her to walk back her far-left record after years of being in the public eye as a far-left Democrat. He thinks that it might be better for her to just embrace it. He said, "She wouldn't be a good candidate... But at least we would know who she is and what she believes. I think she's confusing voters now."

Her constant policy flip-flops seem to strike voters as dishonest. Her sudden support of fracking, for example, appears to be an example of the classic political strategy of saying whatever is necessary to win an election. Lindquist thinks that this particular playbook is outdated.

Trump has set a high bar for speaking directly and honestly to the American people via non-traditional media like podcasts, and Harris just hasn't been able to meet that bar yet.
