A Second Trump Presidency Would Start With a Lengthy To-Do List

The list of things on a Trump to-do list as president has been adding up over the past few years.

The Republican candidate has already laid out multiple things he would do within the first week and maybe in some cases the first day of his presidency, if he ends up back in the White House. A lot of his stances are "America First" and give more power back to the American people.

Vince Coyner is a contributor to the American Thinker. He said the open southern border would undoubtedly be something he attacks on the first day by closing it down and returning it back to Trump-era border policies.

"There's a bunch of stuff that he can do on his own and there's other stuff that he needs help with but I think the first thing on his list and everyone else who is voting from him is to seal the border," Coyner said, who suggests Trump send troops to the border to help secure it.

The exact number of people who have entered the country illegally isn't exactly known as some have said around 10 to 11 million while other suggest it could be twice as much or three times that figure. Regardless, Trump said the millions of criminal illegals currently in the U.S. would be deported.

Coyner also suggests that Trump should significantly alter the multiple intelligence agencies including the Justice Department, the FBI, the CIA, and the Pentagon. It would be in Trump's favor if he's able to remove most of them, investigate them and then fill the positions with individuals who take the job and upholding the constitution more seriously.

"If it turns that they've been involved in illegal activity in one way or another, charge them," said Coyner.

If there is a win for Trump, it will be interesting to see how much if any the Democrats do to try and undermine a Trump victory and also get things left on their agenda accomplished before Trump would be sworn in in January.

Coyner says the swamp still runs deep in D.C. and may need more draining. He believes that Trump would appoint better people to top cabinet positions this time around.

"The swamp really runs deep and I think that he's gotten that," Coyner said of Trump. "I think personnel was the single biggest problem that he had in the first term and by picking JD Vance I believe is a single that he's gotten that message."

Coyner also expects Trump will be able to bring back peace to the Middle East and between Russia and Ukraine as well as eliminate DEI initiatives and programs if he's reelected.
