The race to the White House remains neck and neck, and just when she needs them the most, Harris’s mainstream media allies seem to be jumping ship. USA Today is the latest mainstream outlet not to endorse the Vice President.
On top of that, both the L.A. Times and The Washington Post have declined to endorse Kamala Harris. Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos has indicated that they will not be endorsing any presidential candidates moving forward.
GOP consultant Matt Mackowiak isn't surprised by these non-endorsements. He told KTRH, “Harris has just been so underwhelming and uninspiring. And run such an, I think, unserious campaign, that it’s kind of hard to justify.”
Unfortunately for the mainstream media, declining to endorse Kamala Harris probably won’t be enough for them to get their credibility back. Mackowiak said, “I mean, you’d have to see a consistent effort to start treating both sides fairly, to actually hold Democrats accountable, to report on actual news related to crime in cities.”
Overall, Mackowiak says these endorsements, or lack thereof, won’t end up making much of a difference in the election. He points out that, as far as this election is concerned, many voters decided a year or more ago whether they would or would not vote for Donald Trump, no matter who his opponent was.
