With just 5 days to go now until Election Day, many are wondering where things stand with former president Donald Trump's legal issues, and how many cases does he still face?
"So, right now he has 4 cases total. Two federal and two state cases" said David Gelman, who is a Trump legal surrogate.
The two federal cases are in Washington for January 6th, and in Florida for the classified documents.
"The federal cases I expect to be gone immediately" Gelman told KTRH, "The other 2 cases, they are state cases. The one in Georgia, I think Fani Willis is going to be removed. In New York, president Trump hasn't been sentenced yet."
And Trump could not be sentenced if he were to be re-elected. Plus, that case will ultimately be thrown out, once it is seen by a legitimate judge and court.
But what happens if Trump loses? Gelman says we'll have to wait and see, if the Dems proceed. He notes that all of these cases were brought on to try and keep Trump out of the White House. So, if Trump doesn't win, there would be no reason to continue the cases. Then again, these are the Democrats who may want to continue to go after Trump, especially with a revitalized and weaponized DOJ.
