The ID's of the victims killed in the helicopter crash from earlier this week in Houston's East End have been released.
The Medical Examiner’s Office released the names of the victims on Thursday. Samantha Grandbouche was the pilot of the helicopter and Julio (Cesar) Lerma, Dylon Lerma and Marie Alonso were all passengers. The four were on board a National Helicopter Solutions helicopter for a tour over the city Sunday night when it hit a radio tower.
The ME’s Office said everyone on board died from multiple blunt force injuries. The passengers’ deaths were also caused by thermal burn injuries.
Houston Police said the helicopter took off from Ellington Field and was headed to an unknown destination before crashing. The helicopter was flying about 600 feet above ground according to FlightAware data.
No other injuries were reported from the crash which is under investigation by multiple local and state agencies.
