Iran's plot to assassinate former president Donald Trump is more serious than previously believed.
According to Politico, Iran is seeking retaliation for the drone strike that killed Qassem Soleimani at an Iraqi airport in January 2020. They have posted videos depicting possible Trump deaths as well as other national security officials who had a hand in the drone strike.
"This is extraordinarily serious," said Matt Olsen, the Department of Justice's assistant attorney general for national security. "Iran has made it very clear that they are determined to seek retaliation against former officials in connection with the Soleimani strike."
The Islamic regime has also issued statements mentioning getting revenge.
The Trump campaign has since asked for more protection including military aircraft for Trump to travel on in the final weeks of the campaign.
