As tensions build in the Middle East, the U.S. and British militaries launched a series of missiles at 15 different Houthi targets in Yemen on Friday, blowing up the Iranian-backed rebels’ weapons systems, bases and other equipment, officials confirmed.
Fighter jets and warships bombed the militant strongholds at five separate locations, according to US officials.
The U.S. led airstrikes came just days after the Houthis claimed responsibility for shooting down a US military drone over Yemen, as well as for an attack targeting American warships.
