Reports say that Harris County criminal court Judge Frank Aguilar was killed in a car crash on Houston's South Side while driving home from yesterday's Houston Texans game.
HPD has not confirmed this, only saying that "the identity of the deceased male, 66, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences." Aguilar is 66 years old.
Police say that he was driving a white Jeep Rubicon when the vehicle veered off the roadway to its right and struck a wooden utility pole .
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the driver and a front seat passenger to an area hospital, where the driver was pronounced deceased.
The female passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
