According to the Houston Police Department, an officer was shot this morning at the 7100 block of Alderney Drive, near Antoine Drive. HPD says they have detained two persons of interest, and officers are searching for a third. They are asking the public to avoid the area.
According to the Mayor's office, the officer was shot while responding to a home invasion. The officer was then taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital and is in unknown condition.
