Hurricane Francine made landfall in eastern Louisiana last night as a Category 2 hurricane. There have been no reports of deaths or injuries so far, but approximately 390,000 customers are without power.
Since making landfall and moving northward, Francine has weakened from a Category 2 hurricane back down to a tropical storm, with maximum sustained winds of 45mph. Francine is expected to continue moving northward through Mississippi today.
