Over $200 million spent by Texas taxpayers on bussing out illegal aliens

Over $221 million has been spent to transport illegal aliens out of Texas to Democrat-run cities.

The Texas Division of Emergency Management revealed through a Public Information Act request by the Washington Examiner that over 750 payments were made to transportation companies since 2022. State officials said taxpayers made up 99 percent of the payments while private donors finished out the remaining one percent.

According to Gov. Greg Abbott’s office, as part of Operation Lone Star nearly 46,000 illegal aliens were sent to New York City, about 37,000 headed to Chicago, just over 19,000 went to Denver and over 12,500 had been bused to Washington, D.C. since 2022.

The New York State Supreme Court ruled in April that New York City Mayor Eric Adams could not attempt to block Texas-based busing companies from moving illegal aliens to his city.
