In a stunning development that prosecutor's say they didn't see coming, Hunter Biden has plead to guilty to all nine federal tax charges brought against him by Special Counsel David Weiss.

Federal prosecutor Leo Wise told FOX News that "this is the first we are hearing about this."

Jury selection was to begin Thursday in Los Angeles in what would have been his second criminal trial of the year.

In June, Hunter Biden was convicted on three felony charges related to purchasing a gun while addicted to cocaine. During that same time, he allegedly failed to pay at least $1.4 million in federal taxes.

Biden has pleaded not guilty to the charges. The case is being prosecuted by Special Counsel David Weiss, appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland, and is overseen by Judge Mark Scarsi, who was appointed by President Trump in 2020.

While prosecutors say there caught off guard, many are speculating what the reason is Hunter Biden's reason for switching the plea to guilty.

In the past, 'the big guy' Joe Biden has said he will not pardon his son. We shall see.
