Violent crime isn’t slowing down in the city of Houston. And the latest murder in the city is yet another head scratcher.
Police in southwest Houston are looking into a deadly shooting over what appears to have stemmed from $20 at a food truck.
Based on their initial investigation, HPD says it all started Saturday night, when three men were asking people for money at a food truck.
An unidentified man, police described as the victim, said he would get $20 and went to the apartments nearby. He returned with a gun and pointed it at the three men but did not shoot. Those three men, however, did shoot him and died at the scene.
Police do not have any of the men in custody. One of the shooters, however, has been identified. HPD has not released the name of that person publicly.
