Former president Donald Trump continued his counter-convention campaign run with a stop in Howell, Michigan.
After several on the left criticized him last night from the DNC convention in Chicago, Trump called out the Democrats for their unprecedented push aside of Joe Biden.
"That was a coup, and I'm no fan of his at all" Trump told the crowd, "It started with the debate, and from that point on it just got worse and worse. But that was a coup, it was a vicious violent overthrow of a president of the United States."
But there was more, with Trump blasting Biden himself. "We have a fool as a president" Trump said, adding "They lied last night about things that nobody has ever seen, they lied about Charlottesville, inflation. The inflation has been absolutely horrible, and everybody knows it."
The bulk of Trump's speech was on restoring law and order, and how despite the spin from the media, crime is not down. It's actually much worse.
"When I'm president of the United States again, we will never even think about or mention the words 'defund the police', we'll never think about that again. It's got to be put away" Trump said to applause.
The Trump campaign also called out the hypocrisy of NBA coach Steve Kerr, who had a lot to say about Trump at the DNC, but continues to remain silent on China, and their on-going human rights abuses.
