Donald Trump has called out Vice President Kamala Harris for taking his idea of having no tax on tips for service workers.
For a few months now, President Trump has made the pledge to eliminate federal taxes on tips to workers in the service industry if he is elected President. Harris first announced the proposal Saturday evening at her rally at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
"We will continue our fight for the working families of America including to raise the minimum wage and eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers," Harris told supporters Saturday.
In a post to Truth Social, former President Trump said Harris won't actually follow through on such a proposal and is only repeating his idea for "political purposes."
"Kamala Harris, whose "Honeymoon" period is ENDING, and is starting to get hammered in the Polls, just copied my NO TAXES ON TIPS Policy," Trump wrote. "This was a TRUMP idea - She has no ideas, she can only steal from me."
