Recruiting poll workers and election judges is always a struggle, but heading into the November election, the need is greater than ever. So what might be keeping volunteers from these critical positions?
GOP election worker Felicia Cravens told KTRH, "I think a lot of people primarily think that someone else is going to take care of this 'poll watching' or working at the polls on election day." Cravens says in reality, they need all the help they can get.
She said, "People have to believe in the integrity of the election, and as many volunteers as we can get helps boost that confidence in the results." She says that the more people we have watching our elections, the more secure and trustworthy they will be.
