Harris County Commissioners Court: Beryl Clean-Up Is Going To Take Months

Despite the fact that Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo told state officials, "we're good" when they asked if any help was needed following Hurricane Beryl, the clean-up continues and is likely going to take several months.

"This is probably the most significant debris removal pick-up in the history of Harris County" said Precinct 3 Commissioner, Tom Ramsey.

He should know. In Precinct 3 alone, there are 155 debris zones. When you add it all up, there is more debris to pick up than could fill NRG stadium. And the Commissioner's do it without any help from the Judge.

"It's not like we're looking for direction, we didn't receive any during the storm event" Ramsey told KTRH, "I would just put it in a category of, during the event, the Judge's office isn't really relevant."

Apparently what is relevant? Lina Hidalgo declaring yesterday 'VP Kamala Harris Day' in Harris County. Priorities.
