President Biden speaking on Wednesday night for the first time since announcing his withdrawal from the 2024 Presidential race.
While speaking from the oval office, Biden called for unity among the people. He also said his decision came because he feels it is time to 'pass the torch to the next generation of political leaders.'
The president reiterated his intention to remain in office and listed his priorities over the next six months. He also praised Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her 'tough,' and 'capable.'
It is Biden's first real public appearance since dropping out of the race, and since he was diagnosed with COVID last week.
