Yesterday, at the third day of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Ohio Senator JD Vance formally accepted the Republican Party's nomination for Vice President.

Before his acceptance speech, he was introduced by his wife Usha Vance, who said, "It's hard to imagine a more powerful example of the American dream. A boy from Middletown, Ohio, raised by his grandmother through tough times, chosen to help lead our country through some of its greatest challenges."

Following Usha's introduction, JD then took the stage to Merle Haggard's "America First."

During his acceptance speech, Vance said, "Tonight is a night of hope. A celebration of what America once was, and with God's grace, what it will soon be again." He also addressed the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, highlighting Trump's response as evidence that he is "tough, but he cares for people."

Vance then conveyed a message to the GOP, stating, "We love this country, and we are united to win."

JD also took the time to recognize his mother, who has overcome the same drug addiction that JD has pledged to fight against.

Former acting ICE Director Tom Homan also spoke on the issue of drug abuse at the RNC yesterday. Addressing the cartels that have brought drugs across the southern border into the United States, he emphatically declared, "YOU'RE DONE!"
