As of 3am this morning, CenterPoint still has more than 50,000 customers in the dark. This is the tenth day those customers have ben without air conditioning, refrigeration, and potable water.
Elsewhere:
- Entergy was still working on getting all of their customers back online after promising to do so by last night.
- A lineman working to restore power in Galveston is arrested after beating a co-worker, leaving that person in critical condition.
- The death toll from the storm has risen to at least sixteen people; six of those deaths attributed to the heat.
- There are increased efforts to spray for mosquitos in Brazoria and Matagorda counties. We are also seeing more mosquitoes in Harris and Fort Bend counties.
