Why is Crime Falling in Venezuela?

Venezuela has been celebrating their recent drop in crime, which didn't happen until our southern border was opened up, and our crime rates rose. In short, crime has dropped in Venezuela because their criminals are all here in the United States.

Former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan told KTRH, "The border patrol, 18% of everyone they arrest has some sort of criminal past." Homan says when these criminals come across the border from places like Venezuela, it's nearly impossible to know what their criminal records in their home countries are.

Homan says this is a problem that we could easily fix. He said, "If the Biden administration would end catch and release, and detain these people, we'd have time to drill down into their past. Also, if they're detained, they get an immigration hearing within 35 days. If they're released, they might not see a judge for 5-8 years."

Homan says what we need is a strong president who will close the border and send these violent criminals back to their home countries.
