Now that the first debate is over, what about all of the rumors that the Democrats are secretly planning to replace Joe Biden before the November election? Is it really possible?
"So, theoretically yes, but the answer is, it's very very complicated and is likely to be litigated" said Mike Howell, executive director of the Heritage Oversight Project, "There are two distinct things to follow, one is the DNC's process for selecting a nominee, the other separate issue is the state ballot access laws."
The bottom line is, every state is different and has different laws, and it's not as simple as just picking someone else.
"It would be difficult, the problem would come from us" Howell told KTRH, "We will not allow for and stand by if state laws are flouted, and election integrity laws are flouted."
He says the Dems face a "legal quagmire" if they try and make a switch. The DNC convention is in August.
