Polls usually aren't particularly friendly to Trump or any Republican. But lately, Trump has been making plenty of headway, especially in swing state polls. His campaign has also managed to rake in hundreds of millions of dollars since his conviction in New York.
RNC Committeeman Dr. Robin Armstrong says Trump supporters finally have some room for optimism. He told KTRH, "To have a Republican presidential candidate leading in the national polls is absolutely unreal. I believe this race has the potential to be a landslide."
Dr. Armstrong says Trump has also managed to make significant headway with minority voters, who usually favor Democrats. Armstrong said, "You can compare the Trump years, and you can compare the Biden years. Clearly, every racial group was doing much better during the Trump years."
Armstrong did warn that Republicans can't rely entirely on their newfound momentum. He says the GOP needs to also make sure they have a strong ground game and can actually get out the vote, as well as fundraise.
