Joe Biden's green energy agenda has been a disaster across the board, but it could be an even bigger disaster when it comes to our military readiness. Green energy relies heavily on China, one of our biggest military adversaries.
Brent Sadler with the Heritage Foundation told KTRH, "If you have a military that has to deploy from California to go fight a war in Asia, and the lights can't stay on, then that puts the whole war effort and national security at risk."
Sadler pointed out that much of the raw materials required for the creation and storage of solar and wind energy come from, or are controlled by China. He also pointed out how this makes even behind-the-scenes electric vehicles being used by the government for non-combat roles a problem.
He said, "If you don't have power plants that are running because of our over-reliance on renewables, then you run the risk of not being able to power those electric vehicles." Sadler says rather than focusing on making our military more environmentally friendly, we should be focused on making sure that our military infrastructure is resilient and ready for whatever mission we might need it to accomplish.
