The United States Supreme Court and its members have been in the headlines a lot lately, and they still have two major decisions to release before they're done for the year. A ruling on both abortion and Trump's immunity claims will likely propel SCOTUS back into the headlines soon.
Constitutional lawyer Jared Woodfill told KTRH, "The Biden administration wants to federalize abortion, and when states adopt laws that are inconsistent with their agenda, then they go after those states in an attempt to change those laws."
The Biden administration claims that Idaho's abortion restrictions violate the EMTALA; Woodfill says he doesn't even know how they make that argument.
Meanwhile, the ruling on Trump's presidential immunity could have far-reaching consequences that make the case a lose-lose scenario for the Biden administration. Woodfill says, "If they get what they want, then they open the door for a future president to go after President Biden."
Woodfill says that we can expect to hear the final rulings on these cases sometime before the end of the month.
