Should The RNC Move The 2024 Convention?

With Donald Trump’s sentencing in his New York hush money case set to take place less than a week before the GOP convention, some suggest the RNC should move the convention forward. Changing the convention date offers some political advantages.

Robert Romano with The Daily Torch told KTRH, "What really needs to happen is, New York has to really be put on the spot. Are they really going to imprison the Republican nominee for president?"

Romano says moving the convention will be a logistical nightmare, but it might be the only way for Republicans to hear from their candidate after he's nominated. He said, "Logistically favorable or not, they might not be able to hear from their candidate from July 11th all the way through Election Day."

He also warns that if the convention is held after Trump’s sentencing, anti-Trump Republicans might leverage a possible prison sentence to switch him out for another candidate.
