AI is getting more advanced and more common, raising concerns that it could soon begin interfering with American elections. What's worse, it might be happening already, and we just don't know about it yet.
Cybersecurity expert and host of "The Professional CISO Podcast" told KTRH, "I believe we've already started seeing it happen. I saw an article the other day that both China and Russia have already started leveraging artificial intelligence for propaganda."
Malicoat says that as we draw closer to the election, such interference will absolutely start ramping up. He said, "We're gonna see this, it's just gonna continue to increase. The recognition is going to be the key, which is never the easiest thing."
He says that until more advanced counter-AI is developed to detect and combat AI misinformation, we are basically in the wild west.
