Storms Kill One; 275K CenterPoint Customers Without Power

Two weeks after a storm knocked out power for 900,000 CenterPoint Customers, the Houston area was hit again.

  • More than 275K CenterPoint customers are currently without power. You can track the outages HERE.
  • Elsewhere, at least a dozen Harris County voting centers lose power during primary runoff elections.
  • The Magnolia Fire Department reports that two homes under construction collapsed, trapping one person. Officials say that person has died.
  • The storms knocked trees down in Montgomery County, blocking some roads.

According to the National Weather Service, "There is the potential for another round tonight," said Cameron Batiste (NWS) speaking with KTRH.

All HISD after school programs were canceled, and there were reports of power outages in the Spring ISD.
