Houston is now in full recovery mode after the deadly storm that swept through the area on Thursday. CenterPoint Energy is making significant progress in restoring power to the hundreds of thousands of Houstonians who lost it during the storm. At the peak of the outages, nearly 1 million Houston-area customers were without power.

CenterPoint now reports that the number is down to around 350,000. They aim to have power restored to 80% of their customers by the end of the day today and hope to complete their repairs by Wednesday.

CenterPoint is also encouraging customers to check their own equipment, including weather heads, and to call out a qualified electrician to make any necessary repairs. They warned that if your equipment is damaged, you might not receive power even after they complete repairs on their end.

You can track CenterPoint's progress through their outage tracker here.
